Our Story

How it all started...

Midway Baptist was established as an independent church in August 1947, after starting as a mission of Central Baptist Church in 1941.

The original church building was erected in 1948, before this, the members were meeting in what had been a community general store. By 1980, through the will of the Lord, we were blessed with growth that proved a new building was necessary. This gave us the church building we meet in today, along with the educational building that houses our small groups, student, young adult, and children ministries.

Expanding the vision...

In order to accommodate community outreach events and church fellowships, we set out to construct a fellowship hall and pavilion. This addition allows us to be able to better support our community through outreach events, such as Fall Festivals, Easter Events, Vacations Bible School, etc. Also, this allows for us as a church to have fellowship events to grow inwardly as a community of believers.

Where we are headed...

Now and always we will be focused on growing the Kingdom of God through community outreach and missions. Through this we hope to provide a church for believers to worship, grow, and become a part of the community here at Midway.
